The Maryhill Loops Road Tour and Wine Tasting, a brand new event for Audi Club Northwest, will be held on Friday September 12, Saturday September 13, and Sunday September 14, 2008.
Nestled amongst the foothills above the Columbia River in Southwestern Washington, the Maryhill Museum of Art has a little-known secret on it's property. The Maryhill Loops Road, owned by the Maryhill Museum of Art, was the first macadam asphalt-paved road in the Pacific Northwest. In 3.6 miles the road ascends 850 feet via a series of 25 curves, 8 of which are hairpins. Generally the road is only open to pedestrians and bicyclists but on Saturday, September 13th, Audi Club Northwest has private use of this road for a tour.
We have planned a whole weekend of driving and social events around this tour. On Friday people from the Seattle area, the Portland area, or other areas can caravan over to the Goldendale, WA area together. The Seattle caravan will leave late Friday morning and the route chosen from Seattle to Goldendale is sure to please! On Saturday we will drive the Maryhill Loops Road all day, then finish up with a wine tasting at Maryhill Winery just down the road. On Sunday we will tour the Maryhill Museum of Art.
Drivers can choose to particiate in one, two or all three of these events. Family and friends are welcome to come along and can participate in the wine tasting and museum tour even if they are not going to drive the loops road.

A room with a King bed is $80.10 and a room with two Queen beds is $89.10. Reserve your room by August 31st and indicate you are with Audi Club Northwest to get our group rate. After August 31st our rooms will be released and the discount will no longer be available.
